genesis-agent-checkpoint-resume

Deterministic state capture and instant resume runbook generator for autonomous coding agents.

When long-running coding agents hit rate limits, encounter unexpected merge conflicts, or require human intervention, their volatile working memory is wiped out. Context compaction causes loss of:

Exact modified files and uncommitted diffs
Newly created untracked assets
Current task status and specific blocker context
Safety guardrails (leading subsequent agents to run destructive commands like git reset --hard or overwrite user work)

genesis-agent-checkpoint-resume freezes the active repository state into a portable, verifiable checkpoint (.agent_checkpoint.json) and generates a structured, fail-safe resume runbook (RESUME_RUNBOOK.md). A resumed agent or human engineer can instantly continue work from the exact suspension point without context degradation or accidental regressions.
